Internalization of SARS-CoV-2-Wuhan:(E, S, N&N-eGFP, M&M-mCherry, T20 RNA) VLPs into A549 cells. These cells contain M-mCherry (Red) and N-EGFP (Green). This allows us to simultaneously track the dynamics of the membrane together with its nucleocapsid one. Initially, the particle emits yellow color because of the two overlaping signals, but during nucleocapsid from the VLP, the N-EGFP signal slowly decreases and the particle emits only red signal and increases its movement.

Wild Type SARS-CoV-2 virus-like particles containing all the structural proteins.

M-pHluorin N-EGFP, Part of the M protein of the particle is tagged with mCherry and part of N protein is tagged with EGFP. This allows us to track the membrane of the particle simultaneously with its nucleocapsid under the microscope.
